Today, I was blessed.
I was blessed with a maternity session with an absolute bombshell of a mom. A mom to her step daughter, who she loves like her own. A wife to one of our nation’s hero’s. A mom who understands how important it is for her step daughter to feel at home with both sets of parents, to feel that love and value in a person. Teaching her step daughter to understand that no matter what is going on in her little life, that her parents are doing everything they can to make her the best woman she can be. And that both sets of parents love her, no matter what.
A mom to a sweet little boy, who is due in just a few short weeks. Who is, on the daily, threatening to arrive earlier than expected, and more than likely will arrive while I’m visiting my own family in Montana.. (Little stinker)
This woman, gave me faith in split households. Gave me faith in our nations children. A mom who doesn’t care if she is your biological mom or not. She will love you just the same, for who you are. Who will raise you, just the same. Will hold you accountable and give you goals and dreams that are attainable and motivating.
A mom who is beautiful, on the inside and out.
I give you, one of the most beautiful moms I have ever seen, the mom that exists in many American households. The mom that is courageous, courteous and kind. The mom that disciplines her children, then cries when they tell her that the love her when she tucks them into bed.
A woman who is beautiful, strong and elegant all wrapped in one.
